PASS PLUS
Pass Plus is backed by the Government, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency and Insurers to make newly qualified drivers become better drivers and gives you a number of benefits, including cheaper motor insurance.
The course Must be taken consists of six specially designed training sessions to follow on from the practical driving test--Driving in town, Out of town, in all weathers, at night, on dual carriageways and motorways.
The extra experience and positive driving skills from Pass Plus would otherwise take time to acquire. You should become a better and safer driver for it. Statistics shows new drivers make up just 10% of license holders, but are involved in 29% of accidents.
There is NO TEST to take, once I'm happy with your performance you will receive a certificate from the Driving Standard Agency.
Motor Insurers that support the scheme will give you a one-years' no claims bonus for comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party only policies as soon as you own your own car. The savings should more than cover the cost of the course.
You can defer the no-claims bonus for up to 2 years if you currently drive under someone else's policy. This means if you buy a car within 2 years of completing a Pass Plus and have not had any claims in the meantime, your first premium will be reduced by one years no claim bonus.
Insurers representing over 60% of the UK private car market have agreed to the scheme. I have a full list of all participating companies. Please enquire.
